Veeva Claims allows you to create country-language mappings for use in certain features. The Country Language (country_language_mapping_object__v) object stores information about which languages are applicable to each country (Location). For example, you might create a County Language record that maps Switzerland to French, German, and Italian languages.

You must add picklist values to the Language (country_language__v) picklist before defining country-language mappings. The Language picklist contains values for country-language mappings, which are used for Element and Statement languages.

You can define country-language mappings in Veeva Claims for the following features:

  • Localize Pack Copy: Country-language mappings determine the languages in which translations are required for a local pack copy.
  • Auto-Populate Statement Translations: The Populate Statement Translations action uses country-language mappings to generate Local Adaptation Statement Join records based on the global statement of each specified Claim.

About Country-Language Mappings in Localize Pack Copy

Localize Pack Copy requires you to create mappings between countries and languages appropriate to your Vault so that when users run the Localize Pack Copy action, Vault creates local Elements for any user-selected global Elements not already localized in the languages mapped to a selected location.

Ensure you create all required country-language mappings. The Localize Pack Copy action will fail if users select a Location in the Localize Pack Copy dialog that you have not mapped to any languages.

About Country-Language Mappings in Local Adaptations

Local Adaptations store information about a claim adapted to a local market. Local Adaptations can have multiple associated statement translations for country-specific languages. Creating mappings between countries and languages appropriate to your Vault means that when the Populate Statement Translations action runs, Vault populates statement translations for each appropriate Local Adaptation based on the languages mapped to each Location.
