# Navigating to Document Destinations

Vault supports viewing and navigating destinations within the document viewer. Destinations allow users to jump and link to specific locations within a document. In viewable renditions, Vault displays destinations that were manually created in PDF source files. You can only create destinations in Adobe Acrobat PDFs.

## Navigating Destinations

Destinations are accessible via the [navigation tools menu](/en/lr/9753/#navigation-tools) on the Doc Info pane toolbar. Open the navigation tools menu and select **Destinations** (<i class="far fa-map-marker-alt"></i>) to open the _Destinations_ panel. Click a destination name to navigate to its location in the document. Click **Close** (<i class="fas fa-times"></i>) to close the _Destinations_ panel.

You can also search within a document's destinations. Searching is case sensitive, and Vault only searches the first 144 characters of the destination name.
